Installation artistique

Concours pour Festival des Architectures Vives de Montpellier

Colors

Visitors are invited to discover the nuanced interplay of colors created by overlapping fabrics, illuminated by sunlight filtering into the courtyard. The drapes transform into visual filters that blur perception. With each layer, other visitors gradually fade from view, blending into the installation’s winding pathways. The space itself becomes fluid and ever-changing, shaped by the movement of the curtains and the gentle lift of the wind.

Movement

The installation encourages playful interaction, as moving the curtains transforms the perceptions and the perspectives of every visitor walking in and around the drapes. Visitors of every age are encouraged to take control of their environment and experiment with space, exploring their imaginations alone or as part of a group.

The installation becomes ever-changing and ever-moving between the people experimenting with the drapes and the wind lifting them gently.

Sensory experience

The installation is thought as a full sensory experience inviting visitors to move around the meandres of sheer fabric, experiment with the blurring of the perspectives and explore the boundaires of their personal space. A personal space that shifts and transforms from intimate to expansive, shaped by the movements and openings of the drapes.

Le long d’un rail serpentant,
Des rideaux suspendus
Se meuvent et superposent.
Pour donner [dans le cadre]
La vision d’un instant T.

Bougeant au gré du vent
Et au gré des passants,
Ils donnent à voir de multiples tableaux.

Asseyez-vous, contemplez,
Et vous serez surpris et gourmand
D’en voir chaque instant.
