About CAUMA architecture
CAUMA architecture is the result of the joint work of Coralie Marot and Audrey Mainsant since 2023. As freelance architectural designers, we collaborate on various projects, driven by a shared vision that explores the connections between architecture, urbanism, territory, and the living world. Our sensitive approach aims to uncover the poetry of the contexts in which we operate, while addressing the challenges of a more sustainable and respectful design process.
We work on projects of all scales, ranging from micro-habitats and interior design to public buildings. Our often experimental methods balance theoretical reflection and practical application. Each project is an opportunity for us to rethink the relationship between humans, space, and the living world, focusing on themes that matter to us, such as public spaces, sustainability, and care in architecture.
After completing our studies at EAVT in Paris and gaining experience in agencies in France, Belgium, the UK, and Madagascar, we decided to create CAUMA architecture in order to reconnect with the essence of our architectural passion. Through competitions and collaborations, we are shaping a practice that combines creativity and commitment.
Audrey Mainsant – Based between Toulouse and Barcelona, Audrey draws from her experiences in England, France, and Belgium to develop a design approach that is attentive to scale and the sensitive perception of spaces.
Coralie Marot – Based in Montpellier, Coralie enriches her practice through experiences in France and abroad, notably in Rome and Madagascar. Her approach incorporates a reflection on care in architecture, focusing on balancing intervention and preservation of existing conditions.
At CAUMA architecture, we believe that architecture shapes the future through sustainable, poetic spaces that meet the needs of their inhabitants.
